Description:
*Principal Duties and Responsibilities*:
* Link between Finance and Sales departments
* Performing General Ledger account reconciliations
* Expense and cost center allocation
* Keep updated records and files including all filing
* Loading of daily, weekly and monthly payment batches
* Full Debtors function, including collection of debtors payments
* Full Creditors function
* Manage credit insurance portfolio
* Monthly Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable reconciliations
* Assistance during the Interim and Annual Audit process
* Awareness of OHSAS 18001 standard, policies and procedures
* Create purchase orders on request, maintain purchase order log spreadsheet and forward completed purchase orders pack to Finance manager daily
* Awareness of OHSAS 18001 standard, policies and procedures
* Follow ISO 9001:2015 standard procedures
* Follow all company policies and procedures
* General Assistance and support to the Financial Manager in all related tasks
* May be required to perform additional ad hoc duties, as required within the department
*Qualifications & Skills: *
Education & Experience:
* Matric – High school certificate Grade 12
*
* Accounting and Maths desirable
* At least 3 - 5 years' experience in similar position
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping
* Tertiary education in Business Admin / Accounting preferable
Requirements / Skills:
* Proficient with Microsoft Office
* Proficient in English and Afrikaans (written and verbal)
* Solid communication and people skills
* Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
* Ability to organize, multitask, priorities and work under pressure
* Good problem-solving skills
* Excellent customer service
* Deadline Driven
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Knowledge of Pastel Accounting and/or Sage X3 preferred
