South Africa & Sub-Saharan Field Marketing Manager
As the Field Marketing Manager for Sub-Saharan and South Africa (part of the EMEA North Region), you will work to build, evangelize and execute on world-class demand generation programs. This role will develop and execute an integrated marketing plan designed to meet or exceed the agreed marketing contribution to the South Africa and Sub-Saharan pipeline goals. The Field Marketing Manager will work closely with sales management, marketing stakeholders and other team members in a fast paced and rapidly growing market.
The ideal candidate demonstrates digital marketing affinity, a goal-oriented mind set and the ability to adapt and evolve in every situation.
This role reports directly into the Marketing Lead for EMEA North.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Lead Marketing Manager, and Regional Sales Management to develop a 6 monthly rolling demand generation plan that aligns with corporate and North Region Sales goals which includes agreed and measurable targets and objectives.
Design and successfully deliver field marketing programs and activities as part of the plan that leverage the full marketing mix including integrated multi-touch programs, channel and partner (including alliances) marketing, digital demand generation tactics, event marketing (online & offline).
Manage the follow up, nurturing and flow of marketing qualified leads to sales to meet marketing contribution targets and maximize the return on investment
Measure and analyze marketing program success and report on program metrics on a monthly basis
Maintain industry and organizational knowledge of products and services; identify and disseminate market trends to SUSE in support of demand generation
Successfully manage regional marketing budget
Regularly update the sales team and Lead Marketing Manager on activities, engagement and ROI measurements
Work with the Lead Field Marketing Manager to develop marketing budget efficiencies which can be leveraged across the whole North region.
Requirements
5+ years of marketing experience
Excellent knowledge of digital demand generation tactics, channel, alliances and field marketing
A level of knowledge in ABM (Account Based Marketing), and use of Intent based intelligence Marketing
Proven ability to build strong relationships with sales management and sales-persons
Integrated marketing program planning & execution experience
Experience with sales & marketing automation systems
Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is extremely important
Strong and efficient team player with a positive attitude
Self-starter with ability to hit deadlines, work independently, multi-task while working on competing priorities.
Solid decision making/critical thinking, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for data-driven success are a must.
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
