PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The main role of the Factory Manager is to oversee the manufacturing process within the Company and to ensure that production runs without problems and minimum downtime. Working together with supervisors and Project Managers, also ensure that products are manufactured to a certain quality standard. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations Cost management of products and assist with new product costing models Analyse budgets and continuously control production costs and identify /rectify waste measures Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process Completes production plans by scheduling and assigning to personnel as per Bill of Quantities received from Project Managers Accomplishing Work Results Revising Schedules Ensure that Quality Control Checks are implemented and managed Ensure that Cut Sheets for all products is created Must be able to do extractions from drawings Ensure that the ordering of material for Projects is executed Manage all activities within the production process, including maintenance and the workforce MIN REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 Degree/Diploma in Production Management or equivalent experience in Factory/Production Management Shop Fitting / Wood Manufacturing Industry Essential 8-10 years experience Language: Bilingual Drivers License SA Citizen Must have knowledge of quality control process In depth knowledge of products/materials SKILLS REQUIRED A positive can- do attitude Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure Systematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detail Leadership Skills Time Management Skills Grievance and Disciplinary Skills Planning and organizing skills Able to accept responsibility and be accountable for work standards Computer literate with a good working knowledge of email, Word & Excel Excellent communication skill and numeracy skills Excellent Interpersonal Skills Ability to work in a team Outcomes- orientated, not simply task orientated Strong problem- solving skills, analytical ability and detail orientated Ability to manage and prioritise complex tasks Good people management skills and management of staff Package: Between R35K R45K per month pending of experience and qualifications.
