IntroductionIcebolethu Group, South Africa's second largest Funeral Assurance Group providing a Centre of Excellence and leading provider of dignified burial solutions.ResponsibilitiesKeeps building plans and blueprints filed in proper order.Maintains orders and picks up the appropriate supplies needed for repairs and renovations.Requests, assembles and analyses contract bids.Responds to emergency requests for facility and equipment repairs, be on standby.Oversees the allocation of parking in Head Office.Tracks facility work projects both unfinished and completed.Tracks facility repairs and utility costs with spreadsheets and graphs.Evaluates and submits cost reduction ideas; has strong negotiation skills.Oversees contractor repairs as needed.Maintains proper service schedule records.Maintains repair records and prepares related reports.Creates project timelines and researches expected costs.Performs equipment and facility repairs as needed.Maintains offices and other related facilities.Motivates for refurbishment and major repairs as and when appropriate.Develops and implements effective planned maintenance programmes.Handles maintenance and construction projects.Maintains projects and compliance schedules including the Occupational Health and Safety and relevant by-laws and building regulations, such as re-zoning.Coaches and mentors direct reports.Hands on.Minimum RequirementsNational Diploma or N6 in Civil/Construction/Electrical/Building related qualification.Minimum of five (5) years experience in building and maintenance management and refrigeration.Project management and planning skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and equipment maintenance skills are essential.All short-listed applicants will be subjected to assessments, references, and credit checks.
