Job Title :External Sales Representative
Location : Cape Town
Job Purpose: To drive sales growth by promoting and selling Regents' advanced lighting solutions to architects, engineers, consultants, municipalities, and commercial clients.
This role is focused on expanding our market presence in the industrial and municipal lighting sectors through strategic sales initiatives, relationship building, and market intelligence.
Sales & Business Development Manage and grow sales within Southern, Western, and Northern Cape Town, maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts.Identify and develop new business opportunities in the municipal, industrial, commercial, and retail lighting sectors.Provide expert product knowledge and solution-based selling to decision-makers and project stakeholders.Expand into new geographical areas when required, based on expertise and business demand.Market Research & Product Development Attend AMEUProvide insights and recommendations on product development based on market needs and competitor analysis.Client & Project Management Maintain and grow a strong client base, providing end-to-end sales support and follow-through.Monitor client delivery timelines; liaise with production and logistics teams to ensure delivery commitments are met and clients are updated.Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and offering timely updates.Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.Forecast sales performance and assist in budget planning.Update the Sales Force Automation (SFA) system daily with call logs, client interactions, and sales activity.Submit weekly reports to the National Sales Manager detailing quotes issued, client interactions, project progress, and any challenges encountered.Candidate Requirements: Essential Qualifications & Experience: Proven sales experience in the electrical or lighting industry.Strong preference for candidates with direct experience in municipal or industrial lighting projects.Skills & Attributes: Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.Self-driven, target-oriented, and results-focused.Presentable, professional, and well-organized.Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts effectively.Contact UsProof of qualification must be submitted with the CV
