Explosives Operator Gr 1- Cord Plant

Recruitment Description

/ Key AccountabilitiesTo produce detonating cord of different sizes through different stations from C1 to C6.
Take powder charge according to cord specification using the correct formula
Set up the machines according to the product needed using the correct tooling.
Recording of log sheets and production tags for traceability
Take out samples from each spool for quality check
General house keeping
Quality inspection, packing, labelling of final product. Record production quantities
To do a proper start-up before the beginning of the shift and a proper shut-down at the end of the week or when required
Have a full understanding of Epex methodology.
Be able to work under pressure

Formal Education
Grade 12 with Maths and Science or relevant plant specific experience
Min Experience
2+ year experience in Explosives manufacturing
