Overview Environmental Specialist – Tank TerminalsHire Resolve's client is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Environmental Specialist to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, developing and implementing environmental programs, and managing environmental risks at their tank terminal facilities.Responsibilities: Advising on environmental laws and regulations applicable to tank terminal operationsDeveloping and implementing environmental management systems and programsConducting environmental audits and assessments at tank terminal facilitiesIdentifying and mitigating environmental risks associated with tank terminal operationsManaging environmental compliance reporting and record-keepingProviding environmental training and guidance to tank terminal staffCollaborating with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on environmental issues Requirements: Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Environmental Management, engineering, or a related field3+ years of experience in environmental management or compliance, preferably in a tank terminal or oil and gas industryKnowledge of international, and local environmental regulationsISO 14001:2015ISO 45001:2018Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional certification in environmental management (e.g., CEM, REM) is a plus Benefits: Competitive salaryHealth insuranceRetirement savings planPaid time offProfessional development opportunities
