Purpose of the Position:
To assist the department in delivery of key software projects.
Key Performance Objectives
Develop software applications and systems
Prepare software related documentation
Troubleshoot and maintain applications
Conduct code reviews
Set up/configure development and production environments
Contribute to application design
Assist with the definition of team processes and SDLC
Coordinate and negotiate with all internal and external stake holders on new product development, feature request roadmap, bug rating and impact assessment on complete MCA infrastructure were applicable.
Explain the big picture and complex technical issues in a way that nontechnical people may understand.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering across MCA infrastructure.
B.Sc. (Electronic and/or Computer Engineering) or similar qualification.
Microsoft Certification (MVC Web Apps/Azure Development/MS SQL Development)
Experience working in a team environment and independently
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
A technical mindset with great attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods.
Software build management
Source control management
Experience in developing web applications using HTML5, AJAX, CSS and SQL
Experience working with different web servers (IIS, NodeJS, nGinX, Apache)
Experience with Azure or other cloud providers (added benefit)
Experience with microservices
Experience with NoSQL databases
Strong knowledge of relational databases
Strong knowledge of the software development process – including but not limited to Agile development methodologies
Strong knowledge of object orientated principles, MVC and configuration control
Strong knowledge of web services(SOAP/RESTFUL)
Strong understanding of threading
Good understanding of IP networking and protocols eg HTTP, FTP, WS, FTP, UDP
