Job request for an electromechanical technician Location: Eastern Cape
Requirements:
Professional profile is a person with electromechanical formation, one or two year of experience
ND Mechatronics or similar, could also be Electrician
Minimum experience of 2 years in a similar position like electrical installations and maintenance.
Good computer skills and extensive national and international travel
Good communication skills in English, Afrikaans (must converse with farmers). (Basic Spanish skills would be a big plus)
Analytical mentality and commitment to Constant Improvement.
Customer orientation, ability to solve problems and electromechanical knowledge and if it´s possible at fruits stores.
Tasks:
Responsible for the assembly and maintenance of our Application Equipment, verifying their correct functioning
Technical support of the commercial work team.
Assist with client relationships, trials and demonstrations
Further additions:
The Employee will be responsible for the installation and electromechanically services, assembly and maintenance of the company Application Equipment, verifying their correct functioning, technical support of the commercial work team in the company's customers packing houses in South Africa.
The Employee must be available to travel around the country and to the company's headquarters (training, updating, seminars)
The Employee must plan his work together with the Application Equipment Manager of the company (Spain), to whom they will report the summary of their daily work and who will be responsible for establishing the priorities and action plan in the Equipment of the customers and potential customers of the company This is without prejudice of the direct dependence that the employee will have with respect to the Managing Director of the company.
Traveling International as well as National, as required by the company's management to serve the company equipment / customers.
This job requires extensive travel in South Africa and later neighbouring countries. During peak seasons it will be required that the Employee be away from home during most of a week. No extra rumination will be paid except authorised lodging and meals.
It will also be expected from the candidate to assist in marketing and development of the company range where necessary.
It will be necessary for the employee to travel to Spain, where the parent company to which the company belongs, with the aim of receiving the necessary training for the performance of his work in South Africa.
The Employee will assist in stocktaking and other administrative and commercial duties and take charge of the technical spares, equipment and tools of the Company. The Employee will take his annual leave outside the citrus packing peak season.
