Electrical Technician, East London

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Grade 12 with Trade Test as an electrician and at least 10 years factory experienceAble to design / build electrical control circuits (starters, motors, protection)Able to install, repair, program and maintain AC / DC variable speed drives and motorsAdvanced knowledge of PLC programming and instrument control systemWiremans license of certificate of installations are also added advantageousKnowledge of HT transformers, HT switching, and power factor correction preferredOwn transport for after hours work when requiredPrepared to work weekends, overtime and shift when requiredThe successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:Ensure preventative maintenance is carried outRespond to work and breakdown request and ordersFill in daily timesheets, and reportsCarry out small development projects, modifications, additions, and alterations to plant / machineryCarry out safety programme as requiredAdherence to OHS Act and SHE ActCarry out annual shutdown maintenance to plant / machineryPerform general engineering workshop duties Salary: R30 000.00 R35 000.00 per month basic
