Electrical & Electronic Technician

Requirements and experience: Electrical and Instrumentation background knowledge is required. Red seal. A Minimum off NQF level 4 (Electrical and Instrumentation qualification, with a minimum of two three years technical experience in related field. Computer Literate. Software and PLC programming experience on either Allan Bradley / Siemens or Schneider PLC Must be fluent in English. No criminal offence records. Code 08 Drivers License. Knowledge and experience in electrical installations, MCC layouts and electrical equipment. Technical designs and analysis. Knowledge and experience in the electrical and instrumentation field and general fault-finding procedures. Experience in drawing program like AutoCAD would be a benefit. Working experience in project management roles would be a benefit. Purpose of the role: Be able to communicate with clients to understand their problems. Be able to provide technical support to clients, do troubleshooting and fault finding on equipment. Be able to read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit diagrams. Be able to repair, install, replace and service equipment we supplied. Be able to work with 3 phase electrical power equipment. Be able to communicate and provide training to the clients personal on the supplied equipment. Be able to commission and setup the supplied equipment. Be able and available to travel locally and abroad as required for work on occasions. Be able to program and interface with various PLC, HMI and other control systems as required. Network setup and configuration is a requirement. Compile and manage the required day to day documentation and planning.
