Our client in Somerset West is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate is someone that is confident and willing to deal with problems or new tasks and that can get things done. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical control systems, including Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and PLC control systems. Utilize AutoCAD Electrical and E-Plan to create precise electrical designs. Generate technical documentation including QC documentation, parts lists, and IO lists. Develop and maintain cable schedules as per design specifications. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to ensure design specifications are met. Liaise with suppliers and clients to discuss project requirements and provide technical support. Work closely with the workshop team throughout the build process to ensure quality and accuracy. Support the installation team by providing red-line changes during the installation phase. Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics. 1 to 2 years experience working with AutoCAD Electrical. 1 to 2 years experience working with E-Plan. Proven experience in electrical panel building. Basic project management skills. Experience designing motor control centers (MCCs) and control systems. Strong attention to detail and the ability to generate accurate and thorough documentation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of electrical design standards and safety regulations. Experience in liaising with suppliers and clients in a technical environment. Familiarity with red-line changes and adjustments during installations. Area: Somerset West.
