ELECTRIC MOTOR SPECIALIST
To be the main responsible geared motor specialist in the organization.
Take responsibility for sales, proposals, engineering, project co-ordination and technical support for all aspects within the business.
Responsible for the initial setup and organization to start the geared motor business.
Develop the business for the organization to ensure sustainable growth.
Liaise with the various departments within the group to understand capabilities and keep abreast with any new technologies or solutions being developed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
5 years’ + experience in the geared motor and gearbox industry.
Technical tertiary qualification (National Certificate, B. Tech, B.Sc. or similar)
Professional Registration with ECSA.
Computer literacy – good knowledge of MS Office package /Ms Project.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Business Development:
Responsible for the initial setup and organization to start the geared motor business, including all aspects of the business:
Liaison with the group.
Workshop and assembly organization.
Cost and sales budget.
Quotation and costing structures.
Technical and sales documentation and after sales service.
Start up the geared motor business within the groups branches.
Develop and pursue aggressive sales and business development strategies to ensure growth.
Generate business from new and existing customers.
Liaise with customers and keep abreast of all current and future prospects.
Receiving and processing of customer enquiries in line with the customers technical requirements.
Review customer specifications to ensure compliance.
Take full responsibility for all tender and quotations documentation.
Formulate quotations and tenders.
Create and complete costing BOQ’s.
Coordinate and review cost calculations to ensure accurate pricing.
Timely management of tender activities.
Ensure all technical literature included as part of the tender document is the most relevant and up to date information.
Coordinate completion of all returnable schedules, including but not limited to technical, commercial, financial, SHE and QA/QC documentation.
Complete proposal methodologies and executive summaries.
Maintain and continuously improve internal systems and procedures.
Provide feedback of all proposals submitted on a weekly and monthly basis
Regular and scheduled sales visits to customers.
Keeping and up to date customer database.
Provide technical support within the groups customers.
Dealing with customer queries on technical issues.
Continuously improving internal systems and procedures.
Sharing technical knowledge – formal and informal training.
