Job Title: Podcast Audio and Video EditorLocation: Remote (must be available during U.S. business hours)Reports To: Head of Content or Executive ProducerOverview:The Podcast Audio and Video Editor owns the full post-production lifecycle for a high-performing B2B media operation.
This role blends creative execution with strategic intent—shaping raw interviews into content that drives engagement, visibility, and business outcomes.
Equal parts editor, producer, and performance analyst, this individual is responsible for distilling complex ideas into sharp, accessible video and audio experiences tailored for YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other key platforms.
The ideal candidate brings a strong command of narrative structure, advanced technical capabilities, and the agility to move between long-form storytelling and short-form content creation.Key Responsibilities:Lead editing and packaging of long-form podcast episodes for professional-grade audio and video distributionArchitect short-form content strategy, identifying high-leverage moments and crafting platform-specific assets that maximize reach and retentionApply high-end post-production techniques including multi-cam editing, color grading, motion graphics, sound design, and mixingPartner with producers, hosts, and content strategists to influence creative direction and editorial decisionsOversee file management, editing pipelines, and publishing workflows using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or comparable toolsManage a growing volume of content with precision and consistency across platforms and formatsMonitor performance analytics (watch time, engagement, completion rates) and adjust formats and edits accordinglyAct as a quality gatekeeper for all published media, maintaining high creative and technical standardsCollaborate with design, marketing, and demand gen teams to align media output with campaign priorities and brand tonePropose and implement workflow optimizations, templates, and tool improvements to scale production efficientlyQualifications:5+ years of experience in professional video/audio editing, with a portfolio spanning both long-form and short-form contentAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition) and other editing and post-production softwareDemonstrated success producing content that performs across YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok, especially in a B2B or thought leadership contextStrong editorial judgment and ability to turn dense topics into compelling narrativesDeep understanding of platform-specific content trends, pacing, hooks, and optimization tacticsExperience interpreting content analytics to inform creative decisionsAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects with speed, accuracy, and accountabilityStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsComfortable giving and receiving feedback in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentPreferred Attributes:Background in B2B media, content marketing, or SaaS/tech verticalsFamiliarity with SEO and metadata strategies for content discoveryExperience managing or mentoring other editors or freelancersBias for action, systems thinking, and continuous improvement
