They will contribute to curriculum development, especially at postgraduate level, and support the department's objectives in learning, teaching, research, Work Integrated Learning, and community engagement.Job Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceMasters qualification in Physics or equivalent.Additional qualifications such as Advanced Diploma, Bachelors Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Bachelor Honours in Physics.At least two years' relevant full-time experience, including at least one year in a lecturing role at a higher education institution.Key Performance Areas / Principal AccountabilitiesThe successful candidate will:Teach Physics subjects, mainly within the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP).Develop reusable learning and teaching materials.Perform academic and administrative duties.Engage in curriculum development, especially at postgraduate level.Participate in research and publish at least 0.5 DHET-accredited publication units per year.Contribute to Quality Assurance activities.Assist with marketing and student recruitment.Perform additional functions as assigned by the Head of Department.Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, planning, and time management skills.Show adaptability, innovation, and a strong student focus.Maintain attention to detail and possess research and academic writing skills.Proficiency in English is required.Experience in Applied Mathematics or Data Science, or in an Engineering context, would be advantageous.General InformationPlease ensure your application is comprehensive, as CV uploads are not permitted.
