Description: Hire Resolve's Client, an exceptional mining company, is currently looking for Drilling & Blasting Superintendent to join their mining company based in North-West.
Responsibilities: Oversee and manage daily drilling and blasting operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
Plan and coordinate drilling and blasting schedules in alignment with production targets.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of explosives in compliance with regulations.
Monitor and evaluate drilling and blasting performance and adjust techniques as needed.
Conduct safety inspections and enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and other relevant South African regulations.
Train and mentor staff on safe and effective drilling and blasting practices.
Collaborate with geologists and engineers to optimize blasting designs and reduce waste.
Oversee the maintenance and calibration of drilling equipment and blasting tools.
Prepare reports on drilling and blasting activities, including costs, performance, and incidents.
Requirements: Grade 12 Opencast/Surface blasting ticket Competency A Certificate 5 years' drilling and blasting experience in Hardrock opencast mining (Chrome or Platinum) Extensive experience electronic blasting experience Experience on DTH/Ranger & Panthera Drill Rigs Experience in managing drilling and blasting operations.
