Draughtsman - DurbanA Durban based company is seeking the expertise of a good, experienced Draughtsman.Salary R15000 CTCRequirements:3 -5 years relevant experience in draughting.A degree related to engineering or architecture such as NHD in Civil Engineering or relevant Civil and Structural draughting courses will be an added advantageExperience in the following CAD software: AutoCAD, Rebarmate and Surfmate (required)DutiesHelp design products with engineering and manufacturing techniquesAdd details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniquesWork from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architectsSpecify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new productsPrepare multiple versions of designs for review by engineers and architectsDesign plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) softwareWork under the supervision of engineers or architectsDraft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures and componentsProduce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specificationsAssist and coordinate with designers and engineers.Prepare drawings for sheet metal components.Prepare drawings and diagrams for electrical devices and installations.Collaborate with designers, constructors and engineers on projects.Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precisionCompile data and specifications sheets.Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.Accommodate safety procedures and issues in installation and construction
