Dispatch Supervisor

The Dispatch Supervisor will be responsible for effectively planning, managing and organising the product storage and distribution to customers, ensuring a lean operation as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements, managing multiple priorities at one time.
This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This role includes flexible working hours (including but not limited) to weekends and shift work.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to): Manage the teams that wrap, label, scan and pack, as well as deliver the product consignments to the customer contact points.
Develop daily and weekly team schedules to meet the operational needs of the business.
Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards.
General housekeeping and organising of the dispatch area.
Oversee the standard of packaging materials to ensure appropriate presentation of stock.
Perform quality checks on labels/batch numbers/expiry dates when preparing orders for dispatch.
Collaborate with production personnel to ensure manufactured products are of consistent quality.
Ensure proper arrangement of stock.
Carry out stock management operations in line with set product and food safety policies and procedures.
Conduct periodic assessment of dispatch process and value chain to identify risks and develop solutions useful in minimising losses.
Check orders against picking slips and delivery notes.
Assist with loading as required.
Perform regular delivery deadline progress checks to ensure that customer' expectations are met.
Maintain vehicle and equipment maintenance records for internal and external review.
Manage and lead team of delivery drivers.
Manage and lead team of Packers.
Supervise Picker and Checker.
Train and oversee new employees ensuring job awareness, an understanding of company and industry requirements as well as safety standards.
Keep record of employee productivity and attendance, monitoring activity to ensure optimal performance, integrity and professionalism.
Provide pro-active mentoring and coaching and regular performance reviews to reporting teams.
