The person in this position is responsible for managing the operations and results of several sub-teams, or of a large, strategically important group.
This role is integral to the department's overall strategic objective, assisting in the effective management of staffing, budgeting, and planning.Responsibilities :Provides strategic guidance to senior managers and sub-team heads, ensuring accountability for performance outcomes.Fosters a collaborative, innovative culture within the data team while mentoring senior managers for leadership development.Establishes and monitors key metrics to optimize team efficiency, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.Shapes departmental strategy to leverage data for business insights, aligning with organizational goals.Collaborates with senior leaders to integrate data strategies, staying informed of industry trends.Directs planning, staffing, and budgeting processes, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial guidelines.Leads recruitment, training, and project prioritization efforts to cultivate a high-performing, goal-aligned team.Engages executive stakeholders and peers to align and support data initiatives, effectively communicating strategy and outcomes.Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external partners, advocating for data-driven decision-making.Designs and reviews long-term data team plans, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and effectiveness in changing environments.Directs operational decision-making within the team, ensuring process efficiency and compliance with regulations.Education :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Data Science / IT, or a related field.Master's / PhD preferred.Job Experience & Skills Required :10+ years' work experience with data management, analytics, or similar areas5+ years of senior leadership experienceDemonstrated experience in data strategy development and implementationA strong background in customer service development and deliveryStrong skills in the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of large volumes of information, creating solutions, and implementing them
