Hybrid learning (HL) is a mode of academic course delivery that combines short periods of F2F (face-to-face) contact time between the lecturer and student with significant online learning by the students. HL is particularly suited for students for whom the opportunity cost of full-time residential studies on the premises of an academic institution is unaffordable. Stellenbosch University (SU) is expanding its HL offering significantly and requires a digital marketing specialist to develop and implement digital marketing strategies to attract students to the hybrid learning study programmes offered by the University.
Duties:
Working alongside the Hybrid Learning (HL) project manager to plan, develop and implement innovative digital marketing strategies;
Liaising with internal stakeholders, including with University management, the digital learning team, faculties and support staff, to ensure close collaboration between relevant role-players where required;
Conducting market research, in particular on the learn-and-earn (mature) student market, to provide detailed insight and information about potential markets to faculties and management;
Utilising search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques and marketing automation technology to ensure a high level of visibility and awareness of the SU hybrid learning offerings;
Working alongside a web developer and web designer in terms of excellent content, design and functionality of the SU hybrid learning website;
Developing and executing social media marketing strategies to broaden customer reach;
Developing, launching and managing digital student recruitment campaigns per Hybrid Learning programme;
Measuring and reporting performance of all digital recruitment campaigns, and assessing it against goals (ROI and KPIs) in collaboration with faculties and academic programme leaders;
Providing outstanding customer service.
