Position Overview:Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Diesel Mechanic.
The successful candidate will work alongside the supervisor to learn and perform quality vehicle and forklift service maintenance and repairs.
This role involves assisting with various tasks, including safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, maintenance, and repairs.
The ideal candidate should have a N3 Diesel Mechanic qualification (or higher), a minimum of 3 years prior experience, and prior forklift truck (diesel & petrol) maintenance experience.

Required Qualifications:N3 Diesel Mechanic qualification or higher.Minimum 3 years prior experience in automotive maintenance.Prior forklift truck (diesel & petrol) maintenance experience.Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Valid Driver's License.Forklift Truck License.Responsibilities:Work alongside the Supervisor to learn and perform quality vehicle and forklift service maintenance and repairs.Assist Supervisor as needed in various automotive maintenance tasks.Pick up parts from suppliers as directed by Supervisor.Perform safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as directed.Replenish supplies as requested by Supervisor.Report machinery defects or malfunctions to Supervisor.Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
