Debt Account Manager

Responsibilities: Complete debt administration and recovery on terminated contractsNegotiate repayment agreementsInstitute claims against the estate of deceased/insolvent debtorsMonitor and action all cases under follow-upIdentify cases to be ceded/handed over to debt collectorsProvide Cession/Hand over notifications to field management and debt collectorsCompile recommendations for write-offs Monitor and manage the Irrecoverable Bad Debt databaseIssue SARS letters as confirmation of debt repaymentManage the debit-order system Manage transfers between remuneration accounts Manage internet (EFT)/estate late/Forensic payments and reversals of deposits Monitor and handle cases received back from Debt Collectors Monitor and manage accounting collections Monitor cases handed to debt collectors in terms of risk managementReport on cases handed over to debt collectors (Risk management) Provide Debt Collectors with sworn affidavits, debt certificates and detailed statements Manage small team of Debt Account managers Update terminated debt training materialRequirements: B.Com Accounting / Law or equivalent degreeA minimum 5 years' experience in Debt recovery process environmentAt least 5 years' experience in a similar role within Financial Services industryKnowledge of sales and distribution and debt management practicesMust be updated with POPIAKnowledge of Debt Management and the Insurance sectorPlease note if you have not heard from us in 2 weeks from application, please consider yourself unsuccessful - please do continue to follow us online and apply for suitable roles.
