Job Description:As a datacentre Engineer, you will be part of the team that is responsible for the maintenance, administration, and day-to-day operations of datacentre services. The individual will also work closely with users to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.Key Responsibilities:Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups.Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems within SLA.Continual improvement on processes and technologies to increase productivity and stability, including supporting documentation.Replacing faulty infrastructure hardware components when required.Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.Engaging with network users about solving existing system problems.Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.Pro-active cyber security awareness, implementation, and compliance in line with Cyber Security Strategy.Behavioural Competencies:Proactive continuous improvementStrong self-management skillsAnalytical skillsDetail orientatedPlanning and OrganizingProblem solvingSecurity Awareness and implementationTime management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMinimum requirements:Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Information TechnologyMicrosoft Office 365 knowledge3+ years experience in a networking and telecommunications support environmentStrong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardwareMust have Hyper-V experienceDeep understanding of VMware, SharePoint, and Voice over IPAdvantageous requirements:Support and configuration of cloud services (Azure, AWS)Financial services experienceShould you not receive a response from us within one week of your application, your application has unfortunately not been successful.
