We are looking for a Database Administrator for a 3-month contract with the option to extend.
We require a resource with the following skills:Minimum Qualifications:Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Database Administration.Practical real-world experience: At least 1 year of work experience in a real-world environment.Desired Certifications:Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure AdministratorEssential Technical Skills:Azure Platform Expertise:Deep understanding of Azure services, especially those related to databases (Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.
)Proficiency in Azure Resource Manager, Azure PowerShell, and Azure CLI.Database Administration:Strong knowledge of SQL Server or other relevant database technologies.Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance.Expertise in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.Monitoring and Alerting:Proficiency in using Azure Monitor to monitor database performance and health.Ability to set up alerts and notifications for critical issues.Experience in SSIS and SSAS.Backup and Recovery:Knowledge of Azure Backup and Recovery services.Experience in creating and managing backup and restore strategies.Very Good to Have:Scripting and Automation:Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.Other programming experience will be beneficial.
