Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis and Reporting:Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support accounting and tax reporting.Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to provide insights and support decision-making.Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.Software Research and Implementation:Continuously research and evaluate new software solutions and technologies that can improve accounting and tax reporting processes.Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement and integrate new software tools.Provide training and support to team members on new software applications.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting and tax reporting processes.Develop and implement best practices for data management and analysis.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented software solutions and make recommendations for improvements.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) is preferred.Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong accounting background.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).Experience with accounting software (Xero) and ERP systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Familiarity with cloud-based accounting solutions and data management platforms.Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in finance.
