OVERALL PURPOSE
Lulalend is a start-up company focused on transforming small business lending through technology, data and design. Small business owners are the foundation for growth in our economy, and they deserve an easy and inspiring lending process.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual that will work closely with our Credit and Sales functions to develop a comprehensive approach to acquiring customers. Your work will not only encourage small business owners to apply for funding but ensure we attract strong applications to ensure high conversion of approvals. You will be a driving force in helping Lulalend quickly scale.
Responsibilities will include:
Achievement of targets for the business and meeting own individual monthly targets
Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations through a proactive and innovative manner
Timeously answering incoming calls with a high standard of professionalism ensuring all calls are handled in a friendly, responsive and efficient manner
Providing first line customer support with expert knowledge on product information
Timeously escalating customer queries to the relevant departments
Analysing applications in the first phase of the assessment and provide recommendations
Contacting clients to gather all the necessary information for application to proceed to the next phase of the assessment
Discussing outcome of applications with customers, where an approval has been given must be able to upsell and ensure deals are sealed to add to company and individual targets
Understand reasons for and comply with the said rules and regulations set out by Lulalend ensuring credit is granted to a customer with the highest level of integrity
Assisting the Credit Team with any other ad hoc duties which might include meeting set-ups, soft collections

Candidate must have a can-do attitude with a willingness to tackle any task at hand with an understanding that each task contributes in reaching our monthly targets
Must be punctual, hardworking, bubbly with good aura, ethical, innovative, mature, teachable and assertive

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Matric with Maths and Accounting
Diploma or certificate in finance (desirable)
Computer literate
1-2 years' experience within a sales environment, ideally within financial services
Excellent communication skills
Excellent financial, administrative and sales skills
Target driven with excellent negotiation skills
