Interwaste Creditors Clerk Job DescriptionInterwaste, a leader in waste management solutions across Southern Africa, is seeking a seasoned Creditors Clerk to join our team at the Germiston Branch.
With a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence, Interwaste is dedicated to creating a better future by transforming waste challenges into impactful opportunities.Role OverviewThis role involves maintaining and reconciling the Creditors Ledger, handling all aspects of creditors/suppliers invoices, purchase journals, reconciliation of creditor statements, and preparing payments and remittance advices.
We invite candidates who meet these requirements, demonstrate integrity, and wish to contribute to a sustainable future to apply and join us.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full creditors duties, including capturing invoices, matching with POs, and creating POs for ad-hoc purchases.Request vendor statements for reconciliation.Load payments and follow up on unpaid invoices or credit notes.Monitor vendor balances and ensure correct processing of fuel and expenses.Use Navision (Advantage) accounting system for transactions and reconciliations.Assist with vendor queries and ensure all invoices are properly documented.Ensure expenses are correctly allocated and payments are timely and accurate.Reconcile vendor accounts and ensure compliance with payment terms.Maintain communication with suppliers and internal departments.Follow up on outstanding invoices and claims, resolving discrepancies as needed.Ensure legal entity details are correct on invoices and statements.Desired Experience & QualificationsMatric / Grade 12Basic bookkeeping knowledgeMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar roleExperience with Navision accounting systemStrong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesGood communication skills (written and verbal)Proficiency in MS OfficeWho We AreInterwaste is a wholly owned subsidiary of Séché Environnement, and Southern Africa's leading waste management company.
