Cost Accountant

An External Vacancy exists for Cost Accountant in the Sales and Marketing Division , Head Office The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Excellent organizational and analytical skills Needs to be detail oriented, knowledgeable on statistics, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines. To ensure success, confidentiality , professional, and meticulous with a keen interest in cost-efficient operations of the organization. Good accounting and excel skills, with the ability to work on their own and as part of a team. Prepare costings and cost analysis for tender submissions. Analyse and recommend costs and cost savings. Ability to read and understand income statements to determine profit and loss status Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements. Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services. Read Tender documentation and analyse the requirements General Tender Administration Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (essential). 4 years of Cost Accounting work experience (essential). Sound understanding of accounting principles. Solid cost systems background. Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good report-writing, communication, and IT skills.
