The group operates in the following sectors: Agriculture (greenhouses, packhouses and distribution facilities) Education (lecture halls, class rooms and infrastructure for schools and universities) Energy (low and medium voltage reticulation, and photovoltaic installations) Government buildings (prisons, police stations, military bases and courts) Health (hospitals and clinics) Housing (low cost, social and middle income, single and multi-unit dwellings, and infrastructure) Logistics (warehouses and cargo terminals) Mining (infrastructure, haul roads and incline shafts) Property (parking garages, shopping centres and office buildings) Transportation (roads, railways, airports and harbours) Water and sanitation (waste water treatment, pipelines and reservoirs) Waste management (recycling facilities and landfills). To provide the services described above, the group employs architects, construction managers, economists, engineers, environmentalists, facility managers, financial analysts, health and safety officers, project managers, quantity surveyors, town planners and visualisation specialists. The Group also employs cleaners, landscapers, waste management staff and construction workers. The Communications Department in the DELTA Group is expanding, and requires a content creator with strong writing and editing skills. Our team is responsible for all marketing, public relations, editing, web and graphic design, branding, internal communications and knowledge management, and requires someone with strong writing skills to assist in creating content across all platforms for all companies within the group. The content creator (writer) will work closely with the graphic designer and web developer in curating and creating content for: Project descriptions Press releases Website copy Blog articles Company profiles Day-to-day marketing material Advertising copywriting Social media Internal communications Training videos Induction content Processes and procedures Case studies Annual reports Presentations. He/she will also be responsible for editing the company newsletter, websites and design work, as well as assisting with certain Knowledge Management responsibilities. Content Creation
Duties:
Project descriptions: Each project requires a project description that contains all the crucial information pertaining to the project. The content creator will be required to collect all information needed to write these project descriptions, liaise with relevant staff members and/or interview project managers in order to write well-structured documents. Press releases: A weekly press release needs to be written for distribution on our Engineering News platform as well as other industry news platforms. The content creator will be required to interview relevant stakeholders and collate information in order to produce newsworthy press releases in line with the media relations strategy. Website copy: Collaborate with the marketing manager, business unit managers and project managers to make sure all website content is up to date and in line with the business and marketing strategies. Blog articles: Blog articles for websites must be written on a weekly basis according to the content strategy in order to improve site SEO and support marketing customer journeys. Company profiles: Each company within the group requires an up-to-date company profile. The content creator (writer) will work closely with the graphic designer to produce high quality company profiles for marketing and business development use. Day-to-day marketing material: Writing content for brochures, flyers, training sessions, etc. as and when required. Advertising copywriting: Writing copy for online and print advertising. Social media: Publishing content daily on social media channels. Internal communications: Assisting with writing and editing content for company newsletters and other internal communication as required. Video content: Writing scripts for training videos, and marketing and social media videos. Induction content: Creating content for a series of induction videos for the onboarding of new employees. Processes and procedures: Assisting the marketing manager in creating and editing content for departmental processes and procedure documents, and working closely with the web developer to produce process documents and training material for the company intranet. Case studies: Interviewing relevant stakeholders and writing content for selected projects as required. Annual reports: Collating content from heads of departments and project managers, and editing all content for the annual report once a year. Presentations: Writing content that is in line with the overall company content for presentations. Knowledge Management
Duties:
Being responsible for content management and regularly uploading new and updated documents to the company Intranet. Working closely with the web developer to continuously improve functionality on the company Intranet. Uploading all new received material such as library books, reports, technical publications and research documents on the KM database as well as selecting relevant keywords. Updating technical documents on the company Intranet and improving search functionality with the developer. Procuring all reading material such as books, standards, magazines, technical documents and specifications as and when requested. Managing, distributing, reviewing and renewing magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Identifying and subscribing to new publications. Experience Required: Basic knowledge of WordPress would be a bonus but training will be provided Previous experience working in the Built Environment would be preferred, but not required. Qualification: University degree (in English, Publishing, Communications, Journalism or similar). Skills: Basic computer skills Great research skills: Must be able to find information easily and display resolve when it comes to getting information from project managers and any other relevant internal/external stakeholders. Strong analytical, organisational, written/oral communication skills and attention to detail. Multitasking capabilities and flexibility to adjust to a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. Ability to adapt to and accept change. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is willing to be challenged on a regular basis and have a demonstrated desire and willingness to learn.
