Condition Monitoring Technician

CRITICAL PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVESCarry out routine and non-routine machinery condition monitoring data collection using data collectors and computerized condition monitoring systemsCarry out trouble-shooting, failure investigation, performance testing of existing equipment and commissioning checks of newly installed equipment; assist with alignment of equipmentCarry out vibration analysis and performance evaluation (on compressors, motors and pumps) as per Preventative Maintenance Schedule and ad-hoc requirementsIdentify and report equipment / machinery showing potential mechanical fatigue and recommend necessary preventative / corrective actionsAssist and carry out troubleshooting and failure investigations (root cause analysis) and coordinate with relevant area maintenance Supervisors / managers, in troubleshooting activitiesAssist the Maintenance Manager to develop condition monitoring routines, lubrication routines and checks for plant equipmentMonitor physical condition of plant assets and report same for preventive / corrective actionsPerform monthly equipment vibration & heat trend analysis evaluations and submit weekly & monthly reportsParticipate in audits and reviews of the condition monitoring functions to identify actions for continuous improvementOperate according to and maintain Safety, Health and Environment and Quality Standards and Procedures. COMPETENCY PROFILE:Knowledge and skills:Hold a minimum of a Technical Grade 12 (NQF Level 4 qualification) tertiary qualificationHaving undergone Vibration Analysis Category I training (ISO 18436-2 and 18463-3)Minimum of 2 Years relevant plant working experience in the maintenance department (preferably in the water treatment industry).Vibration Analysis Category I certified, with a minimum of 1 year working experience with Vibration Analysis Category IExperience in condition monitoring and compiling of monthly ConMon trend reportsHigh level of computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)Planning and logistical skillsMinimum Valid Code 08 driver's license (A Company tool of trade vehicle will be provided for the execution of the duties).Must be prepared to travel long distances if required.Must be willing to perform after hours duties and to respond promptly if required.Proven record of satisfactory prior performance.Good verbal and written communication skills.-------------------------------------------------------Duties & responsibilities at each company Must Be Clearly Listed on CV.No criminal record.Be medically fit & able to pass a medical examination.Thank you
