Job Description
To monitor processes and related controls in accordance with compliance methodology and minimum standards and provide support to experienced Regulatory Risk and Compliance professionals that require robust regulatory compliance advice and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Execute compliance activities based on the Compliance Strategy Plan to provide assurance on regulatory compliance levels.
Monitor new regulatory mandates, rules, and requirements; ensure policies are current and revisions are promptly disseminated.
Design and implement compliance training and educational programs; participate in management training and induction programs.
Advise the business on compliance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure ongoing adherence.
Assess the impact of regulatory developments on business operations and collaborate on compliance measures.
Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and audits as scheduled or required.
Review and monitor audit outcomes and follow-up on recommendations.
Manage regulatory compliance breaches, including identification, analysis, resolution, and escalation.
Provide professional compliance advice and guidance to the business.
Contribute to statutory projects and monitor their implementation.
Create awareness of new compliance requirements and assess their impact.
Support stakeholders in identifying compliance risks and weaknesses.
Prepare documentation for statutory applications to regulatory bodies.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and the compliance community.
Provide compliance input and act as a trusted advisor in projects.
Deliver compliance reports on activities and non-compliance instances.
Review business policies from a regulatory perspective and recommend improvements.
Identify, assess, and report on compliance risks.
Candidate Requirements

Relevant legal qualification.
Risk management experience (advantageous).
Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, with in-depth knowledge of life insurance and consulting business.
Technical understanding of the Insurance Act, Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, and Financial Intelligence Centre Act.
