Compliance Officer - Old Mutual Corporate

Description This role is responsible for ensuring a coordinated view of Old Mutual Corporate's "OMC" state ofcompliance,gapsandremedialaction required and that all legislative changes impacting OMC is timeously implemented.Key Result Areas :Receive legislative change via LARC on CURA Source/facilitate high level impact assessment of legislative change, with the support of OMC Legal, Product Legal and Line 2 Compliance.Capture/upload high level impact assessment on CURA Present high- level impact assessment at the OML Legislative Change Committee.Facilitate/Source detail business and or project plan to evidence legislative change implementation plan in line with required compliance date.Guide and Support business implementation projects to ensure that it aligns with the Legislation and OMC strategy.Capture/Upload implementation plan on CURA and keep up to date from a tracking and reporting perspective.Report progress on the Legislative Change Committee.Drive/negotiate/influence/collaborate cross segment uniformity of compliance implementation, either at the Legislative change committee or the identified legislative coordinator in another segment.Ensure impacted COE 's is informed and have an evidencable implementation plan.Support OMC Legal in the updating of the OMC License to Operate Dashboard.Legislation monitoring and reporting: Review business areas compliance monitoring and reporting outputs, to ensure the correct outcomes are measured.Agree with business areas corrective actions where applicable to ensure compliance monitoring and reporting efforts, evidence the correct legislative compliance outcomes.Create an OMC compliance outcome report, that informs OMC and its relevant stakeholders of its overall compliance state.Review business areas action plans to increase positive compliance outcomes and report to OMC Ops progress on these corrective actions.Interpret compliance reports to identify trends, agree with responsible business areas their action plans to correct non- compliant trends.Qualifications, skills and experience required:LLB or similar Law degree required2-3 years Financial Services compliance experienceCompliance and risk management experienceSound Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and statutory environment.Interpretation of LegislationExcellent Written and verbal communicationAnalytical ThinkingAnalysing and fact findingProject management experienceAbility to compile accurate and complete reports.SkillsEducationClosing Date20 April 2024
