Job purpose The purpose of this role is to provide support in a legal/ compliance capacity whereby you ensure the business mitigates its risk and that you carry out legal duties as required to ensure legal compliance in all areas of the business. Key Result Areas: Legal Conduct regular contract reviews for the Company; Assist with procurement and be responsible for implementing Risk and Fraud; Conduct Company secretarial and governance, including compliance required Board resolutions. Compliance Provide daily support to the Compliance Manager on various matters; Perform general admin tasks related to the Compliance department; Deal with formal complaints and RFC (Recommendation Following Complaints); Maintain an effective relationship with the FSB and ensure Compliance to the FAIS Act, Representatives and Training; Reporting to the external Compliance Officer; Assist with Health and Safety matters as and when required; Reviewing and updating of Company policies (website and advertising); Assist with drafting of Policy Wording; Recommend improvements to internal policies; Design process flows and SOPS; Constantly review legislative changes and provide suggestions to ensure highest level of Compliance is maintained within the business at all times; Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required. KNOWLEDGE Minimum qualification requirements a legal, insurance or compliance qualification with at least 120 credits and or in 3 rd year of qualifications 2 years experience in Compliance related role (preferable); Experience within Law firm/ Insurance (advantageous); Minimum 2 years working experience in Compliance (preferred); Meets FAIS Fit & Proper requirements. OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS : Be punctual; Complete accurate and timely administration; Any additional responsibilities as required from time to time; Comply with company policy and procedures at all times. SKILLS Confident communicator - verbal and written; Excellent report writing skills; Resolve problems and/ or disputes with clients and arrive at decisions which allow the business to move forward; Use your legal knowledge to mitigate risk to the business; Computer literate. ATTRIBUTES Ability to work independently; Maintain initiative and pro-activeness; Maintain integrity, responsibility and accountability; Have a passion for compliance related matters; Be the custodian for Compliance throughout the Company Have the ability to meet deadlines within time constraints; Ability to follow-up on compliance related matters and provide reports indicating resolution of same;
