New College prioritizes personal attention to students, innovative interdisciplinary programs, links with professional faculties, career mentorship, and community outreach initiatives.Your opportunity:Working under the general direction of the Director, Administration, International Programs, the incumbent is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans that align with the strategic goals, focusing on promoting programs, events, and initiatives.
The incumbent will provide expertise on social media trends and platforms to enhance digital communication strategies, monitor and analyze effectiveness and performance, strengthen brand profiles, and advise on marketing best practices to identify opportunities for brand-building.Your responsibilities will include:Developing and implementing marketing plans to promote programs, events and/or initiatives that support strategic objectivesImplementing marketing plans to strengthen brand profilesBuilding and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importanceConducting market research and analysisDesigning surveys to support the evaluation of strategies and objectivesDelivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiativesProducing promotional and outreach materialsDirecting the activities of a single ongoing staff-appointed employeeEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum five (5) years related experience in a strategic communications role, developing and implementing communication strategies and plans including digital, print and social media strategies.Experience managing social media platforms including building active engagement, expanding reach and using analytics and strategy to report on social media effectiveness.Experience maintaining and updating websites, and in the design and product development of website and communications services.Experience tracking, translating and reporting complex statistical material for the purpose of communication pieces.Proven experience identifying and pitching good story opportunities and writing concise, creative and engaging communication pieces including editing, researching, print/design and reporting.Experience supervising and/or coaching administrative staff.Experience fostering and sustaining relationships with internal and external contacts.Experience with updating and creating CRMs and websites.High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, content management systems and experience with new/emerging media and information technology.Proven design capabilities and experience with web and graphic design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).Proven ability in promoting equitable practices which value inclusiveness and diversity.
Superb communication skills and the ability to foster positive relations in a decentralized environment.Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and solid copyediting and proofreading skills.Strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of different audiences.

with an annual step progression to a maximum of $108,463.
