purpose The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the recognition of business opportunities and strategically driving growth across Mr Price Cellular business touchpoints. The key focus of this role includes identifying and driving opportunities for business development and strategically enabling the performance objectives of Mr Price Mobile, and the MVNO business under the Mr Price Cellular brand.

Business Development
Develop comprehensive knowledge about the business and its development practices, its marketing activities, prospective customers, and the trends in the industry.
Conclusively perform due diligence on all new opportunities and assess the benefits of all prospective commercial contracts.
Engage in market research in order to identify new opportunities for the business, and develop business proposals (in partnership with key stakeholders) for new ventures.
Contribute to the development and refinement of the business?s vision and strategy.
Support the overall process of management and decision-making to ensure the business maximises its short, medium and long-term profitability and shareholder returns.
Develop, review, and report on the business development strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by key stakeholders.
Develop and manage an effective reporting tool for ROI?s.
Be actively involved in the design, implementation of systems, procedures, controls and reporting requirements for the business.
Business Intelligence
Oversight of the business intelligence function together with the BI manager to ensure all tasks are aligned to business needs.
Advise on cross-selling opportunities among different customer segments and products through analytical insight.
Successfully implement customer retention initiatives through analytical methods of understanding customer behaviour.
Effectively partner with the business intelligence team to ensure ARPU stimulating campaigns are designed and distributed to the right customer.
Partner with the marketing team to leverage CRM insight to increase customer lifetime value and identify business growth opportunities.
Ensure alignment of collections strategies to the business requirements, to ensure optimal ROI is achieved.
Understand and mitigate key elements of the individual customers risk profiles.
Together with finance, construct and monitor reliable control systems.
Commercial Management
Collaborate with the various omnichannel distribution partners to ensure that Base acquisitions goals are achieved.
Constantly revisit product landscape and create new innovative products aligned to the business strategy.
Ensure the Revenue, Gross profit and overhead goals are achieved to ensure continuous growth of the Mr Price Cellular business.
Stakeholder Management
Successfully, collaborate with all key stakeholders across the business to embed the knowledge and benefits of business development initiatives across the business.
Effectively collaborate with divisional stakeholders to integrate all Mr Price Money products into stores and call centrerequirementsRelevant qualification
3-5 years Management experience in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
Legislative knowledge: FAIS, FICA, National Credit Act, all relevant retail legislation
Sound knowledge of Commercial acumen
