Two vacancies have arisen for a Commercial Underwriter within the Non-Life Insurance industry at our Scottburgh and Shelly Branches in KZN respectively.
The candidates should be of a strong personality with a passion for client centricity, excel in attention to detail, and aim to exceed expectations.
We are looking for a team player who can operate well under pressure and embrace Treating Customers Fairly principles.
Requirements:
Minimum NQF4 qualification; be FAIS compliant.
Regulatory Exam – Representative (RE 5).
Have a minimum of 2 years strong Commercial & Personal Lines Underwriting Experience.
Currently be a Representative on a Reps Register (not under supervision) for Sub-Categories 1.2 (Personal Lines Insurance) and 1.6 (Commercial Lines Insurance).
Status of CPD hours progress (for previous and current FSCA cycle).
Up to date on Class of Business training (Commercial Lines).
Product Specific Training.
Meet all other Fit and Proper Criteria.
Required Skills:
Good command of written and verbal workplace language (English).
Computer Literate (Minimum Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel/ Word/ Outlook/ PowerPoint).
Strong clerical skills.
Strong Interpersonal relations.
Responsibilities and duties will include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the overall Commercial underwriting processes.
Timeous attendance to internal and external queries.
Timeous follow through of leads.
Timeous processing of renewals and sending relevant documentation to clients.
General reporting and servicing of clients.
