Commercial Accountant

If you are a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with experience in export accounting and a passion for excellence, NDC Personnel & Contractors has a role for you with an FMCG manufacturer in the Western Cape They are seeking a Commercial Accountant to join their team.
In this critical role, you will oversee the commercial accounting of exports, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient processes to support the companys operations.
Key responsibilities include reviewing weekly invoices and costs, managing exchange rate updates, compiling grower payouts, and processing forex payments.
Youll also handle integration between systems, while ensuring compliance with local requirements.
Your role will include preparing balance sheet control accounts, managing currency cashflows, and maintaining smooth communication with the commercial team and clients.
The ideal candidate will hold an accounting or finance degree (e.g.
BCom or similar) and have strong knowledge of the export and fruit industries, as well as experience within perishable food / fruit export.
With accounting experience in cash flow, cost management, and exchange rates.
A proven ability to build relationships, manage teams, solve problems, and multitask under pressure is essential.
