We have a new opportunity for an entry level candidate to join our Corporate and Client Accounting department within the Asset Transfers team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. The Client Accounting function ensures all client money and assets, held by Transact, is recorded accurately.
The Asset Transfers team are responsible for the completion of transfers and ensuring this is recorded accurately on the client’s portfolio. Activities also include chasing outstanding transfers to ensure a smooth transfer process in and out of the platform. All activities must be completed according to documented procedures and within regulatory and internally prescribed deadlines.
Working as part of the team you will be:
- Updating asset transfers accurately on client portfolios, and on the same day as receipt of asset transfer confirmation;
- Contacting third party providers and fund managers, where necessary, in a professional manner to ensure there are no delays to transfers and the end to end process operates in an efficient manner;
- Adhering to the industry wide framework for improving transfers and re-registrations by ensuring a two day turnaround time is achieved;
- Timely investigation/ resolution/ escalation of queries and issues that may arise;
- Ensure procedures and process maps are followed and are relevant, well presented, accurate and current.
This position is ideal for someone interested in understanding how a leading platform company operates, and the regulations around client money and assets (CASS rules). You should demonstrate a solid understanding of the investment industry, Transact’s place in it and a genuine interest in starting a career in this sector. The role would suit a recent graduate looking to make a start in the financial services industry, or equally someone interested in continuing their already established experience in back office investment processing.
You will liaising with other counterparties on a daily basis, so we are looking for individuals with an excellent phone manner and great relationship building skills. We are looking for a proactive individual who will take ownership for completing tasks in a set timescale in a professional environment. You’ll be a conscientious team player with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work through large quantities of complex data accurately.

You should have an aptitude for figures, with the ability to understand and summarise large quantities of complex information accurately excellent attention to detail. Good communication skills are essential.
