Job Summary

Aon South Africa has an exciting opportunity for a Client Manager at our Sandton Office. The role of a D&O Client Manager is to build and improve day to day client relationships, manage the D&O portfolio of client accounts and possess the ability to transfer knowledge to the balance of the team, whilst applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues and developing professional expertise. The successful incumbent possesses an awareness of larger team/ department strategies and customer needs and can manage, adhere and underwrite according to the binder holder agreement.Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading, developing and improving day to day client relationships • Ability to present D&O landscape, state of the market and detailed cover review to clients at executive and main board level. • Responsible for a portfolio of Directors and Officers Liability client accounts which includes managing and coordinating all related activities. • Preparing quotations according to the binder holder agreement. • Good understanding and interpretation of financial statements and Annual Reports • Structure global and local D&O insurance programs to meet client needs • Produce client documentation (including broking submissions, policy documents and claims statistics) • Leading or contributing to client renewal meetings/fee negotiations • Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability • Responsible for compliant dealings with clients • Contributes into the development of new business with either existing or new clients – spots opportunities for increasing revenue and follows up appropriately • In addition will co-ordinate teams of Client Service Advisors (where applicable) to ensure client service standards are met • Acts as a support to Strategic Account Manager/ Business Manager on larger, more complex accounts • Responsible for credit controlMinimum Requirements

Qualifications. • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent • A Bachelor’s degree is preferable • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act • Must be registered as an associate with the IISA Knowledge. • Excellent knowledge of policy wordings • A comprehensive knowledge of the South African short-term insurance markets • An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals • Computer literacy with advanced know-how in MS Word and Excel Skills and Attributes. • Skill and confidence to articulate Aon’s proposition and how it differentiates Aon and benefit clients • Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities • Well- Developed communication skills • Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken • Good interpersonal and organizational skills • Ability to work effectively in and with teams. Experience. • Have a minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar or related role.FAIS Compliance

• Comply with the applicable Fit and Proper provisions as set out in the Board Notice 106 of 2008 issued by the Financial Services Conduct Authority governing Financial Advisory and Intermediary services Act, 2002 – Determination of Fit and Proper requirements for Financial Service Providers, 2008. • Have knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions set out in the General Code of Conduct for Authorized Financial Services Providers and Representatives (as governed by the Financial Services Board, Board Notice 80 of 2003). • Have knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions set out in the Short Term Insurance Act No 53 of 1998 and supporting regulations. • Have an understanding of the provisions of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), No 38 of 2001 and amendments thereof.
