We currently have an opportunity for a Chief Information Officer to join our IT Team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the core focus of this role is to set and lead the technology strategy for the organization in line with Regional / HQ guidelines and in consultation with the top management of the organization.
Strategic and operational requirements
Requirement Overview:
This position will require you to manage the DFS application portfolio; ensure that all the systems are fulfilling the needed process requirements. Support and enhance all DFS IT application. Manage qualified IT team who deliver standard IT business applications and related services. Take all necessary actions to realize the mission of the department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver input for the strategic, long term IT plan in collaboration and in line with the strategic business objectives, the application landscape vision, and the company plans.
Provide both strategic and operational input into business plans and objectives, as well as IT respective market organization plans and objectives (as a part of IT management team) and assist with the formulation and delivery of key programs.
Responsible for conducting regular assessment and driving the resolution of identified risks and issues within the IT environment.
IT applications management, operation and consultancy for the existing applications (run stable and efficient IT support, change management, enhancements).
Drive, organize and schedule constant improvement of the IT applications and services and deliver solution of complex issues.
Monitor and track planning, building, and rollout phases of IT Project portfolio as per Daimler standards.
Responsible for the structured demand prioritization.
Establish close collaboration with fellow teams, ITI and external suppliers to ensure stable, secure and reliable services to the company's business units.
Steer, support, supervise and manage IT projects, groups and committees, ensure periodic reporting.
Provides updates and reports to the Executive Committee.
Identifies opportunities for technological innovation and drive implementation.
Leads the design and customizing of technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.
Manage and influence relationships and service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop, implement and report on a plan for engaging stakeholders on a regular basis; manage and resolve all identified issues and risks to facilitate healthy stakeholder engagements and relationships.
Support and consult processes, IT applications, systems and services with business partners.
Manage and control all associated financial objectives within span of control.
Ensure all operational budgets are achieved, managed, and optimized.
Develop IT organization and manage personnel development of team members.
The ideal candidate will come from an IT background or has worked in an IT capacity before, and is adept in strategic thinking. You must pay attention to detail and process data accurately. Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in IT Business (plan/build/run), business units and leading teams.
Project management: experience and practice in managing major international projects.

Education:
Degree in IT and/or (Industrial/Economical) Engineering.
Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
Proven project/program management skills (ideally with formal certification)
