We are looking for a passionate hospitality professional to join our dynamic team. Based in the heart of town, we are making waves within the hospitality industry and reinventing short-term rentals, with its innovative and hotel-grade approach. Purpose: To assist with all bookings and reservations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Handle inbound reservations and making regular bookings. Ensure that profiles of arriving guests are updated on system. Deal with agent or guest complaints relating to bookings and inform the Reservations/Revenue Manager. Assist with managing the marketing descriptions of properties for corporate interaction and ensure they are updated with correct information. Build relationships with trusted corporate/leisure partners and agents. Manage channel managers and property management systems as required and allocated by Reservations/Revenue Manager. Communication: Ensure that confirmations of bookings are completed and sent out promptly. Respond to initial enquiries and requests within an 8 hour working day. Liaise with departments and provide an update on arrivals, groups, special requests and functions etc. Maintain good communication channels with other departments. Handle any guest complaints where necessary or refer to the Reservations/Revenue Manager. Financial: Ensure pro-forma invoices are sent out in time to guests. Follow-up with guests on payment of invoices. Assist with the maintenance and control of payment and commission procedures for all reservations. Manage waiting lists and turn-a-ways and provisional reservations in order to optimize occupancy and revenue. Requirements: Grade 12. Travel and Tourism Certificate (Advantageous). Minimum 1 - 3 years Reservations experience. Own transport (Advantageous).
