This role plays a pivotal part in leading their Southern African operations within the Engineering Services division.Role OverviewAs the Business Line Manager Engineering Services, you will take full P&L responsibility for the service business in Southern Africa.
Your core mission is to drive sustainable, profitable, and inclusive growth while building a future-ready team and strengthening customer value through aftermarket development and digitalisation.
This role calls for a strategic, people-focused leader ready to scale business opportunities across a diverse region.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a full potential plan for ES based on installed base insights.Take ownership of the divisions P&L and ensure consistent, profitable growth.Implement a diversified product, customer, and channel strategy.Strengthen aftermarket services by growing across five key service stages.Lead the roll-out of the digital strategy including connectivity upgrades and platform adoption.Build a competent and engaged team through leadership, training, and succession planning.Foster strong dealer networks and technician development to support service excellence.Promote alignment with Group values and compliance through ethical leadership and transparency.RequirementsExperience & SkillsMinimum 5 years in service operations or business leadership, ideally in mining or construction equipment.Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and operational execution skills.Proven ability to lead teams, grow customer base, and drive innovation in services.Deep customer care ethos with high-level communication and interpersonal skills.Results-driven mindset with strong organisational and analytical capabilities.Education & KnowledgeUniversity degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.Fluency in English with solid computer literacy.Understanding of financial metrics relevant to service and business operations.Product knowledge in power technique/construction/mining equipment is a distinct advantage.Personality AttributesHighly motivated, entrepreneurial, and target-driven leader.Diplomatic, commercially astute, and an effective negotiator.Strong leadership presence with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration.Willingness to travel extensively within Southern Africa.Whats in it for you?Join a global powerhouse committed to sustainability, innovation, and people-first culture.Be instrumental in shaping the service strategy and market footprint in Southern Africa.Competitive package:?
