Key Performance Areas: The Business Intelligence Lead is responsible for the strategy, development, maintenance and support tool sets within the Business Intelligence portfolio. The successful candidate will provide leadership in terms of the BI domain architecture, design and support processes. This will be achieved by understanding business requirements and expected solution outputs, keeping track of existing and new service providers and technology offerings, developing effective and innovative business technology solutions with the input of external service providers when required and managing these projects within the prescribed parameters and deadlines. Ensuring that system maintenance of internal and hosted platforms takes place as scheduled. Facilitating knowledge transfer to Qlik users and IT support resources. Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent degree / diploma in relevant discipline. The incumbent will have experience in carious BI tools Qlik (View and Sense), Power BI, Cognos. Experience in in Data Warehousing, ETL development, designing data models (back end) and proven track record with Agile implementations is a prerequisite. The successful candidate will have 6-8 years experience within the Qlik product range, in particular QlikSense and 8 years experience with various BI platforms. The successful candidate will have exposure to Big Data principles and architecture (Data lakes, Data swamps). The successful candidate will have extensive FMCG experience from a BI perspective and also be at ease with engaging / presenting to EXCO when required. Good communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, driven and ambitious, comfortable partnering with the business where necessary whilst being very proficient with BI principles and architecture The successful incumbent will have a passion to convert data into thought provoking information. 6-8 years experience within the Qlik product range, in particular QlikSense and 8 years experience with various BI platforms. The successful candidate will have exposure to Big Data principles and architecture (Data lakes, Data swamps). The successful candidate will have extensive FMCG experience from a BI perspective and also be at ease with engaging / presenting to EXCO when required.
