Cloud Specialized Sales/ Business Development Manager for South & Eastern Africa
CES Business Development Director
The Cloud Business Developement (BD) Director will be responsible for driving business growth in Cloud space cutting across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. As an experienced Cloud technology sales professional, the Cloud BD Director will aggressively be prospecting, identifying, qualifying, developing and closing business opportunities in Cloud Space that align with Atos’ unique value proposition for growing our cloud offerings in Africa.
Key responsibilities
You will be expected to perform the following:
Develop profitable business growth for Atos Cloud Enterprise Solutions (CES) practice and establish a strong monthly recurring revenue.
Gain in-depth understanding of potential customers’ business model, their IT challenges or Cloud strategy, identify potential IT solutions with Cloud solution team, articulate the unique values of Atos’ CES offering and close sales opportunities.
Be able to write technical proposals and respond to client RFPs.
Keep an eye out for growth opportunities in the ever changing business landscape.
Meet sales quota as a high performing individual contributor
Develop solid business relationships within the various decision-makers and influencers at all levels of key accounts
Engage hyperscale cloud providers and field representatives, collaborating on sales efforts and partnerships with target customers or accounts including uncovering new account opportunities
Collaborate with technical or solution team (pre-sales/delivery) to drive customer engagements
Use quarterly forecasting and pipeline management to manage sales growth
Provide consistent and timely follow up communication and action steps after every sales call
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Has 10+ years experience in IT outsourcing and technology sales and presales
Has 7+ years experience in selling cloud related solutions and in growing Cloud business in South or North Africa.
Has prior experience and strong track record in selling large IT outsourcing deals with complex IT solutions, IT managed services and IT transition and transformation program.
Has strong understanding of two or more of the following: Cloud Consulting and advisory services Cloud Application Development, Data Analytics, Infrastructure migrations and enterprise security across GCP, AWS, Azure and Redhat. Managed services and software/license resale Orchestration and Virtualisation Solutions (such as VMware) Major enterprise applications as well as SaaS offerings
Past selling cycle of deals experience should be from 6-12 months
Strategic thinker, with execution excellence and a structured, planned approach
Strong commercial acumen and with good negotiation skills
Excellent Communication skills with strong presentation skills
