: To identify, investigate and analyse problems faced by business/product owners and propose a solution, to fully address the business requirements, needed to optimise the business.Accountability: Project Establishment
Build and maintain relationships with line role players by communicating regularly and working closely with them to elicit business requirements, evaluate and recommend possible business solutions, make assessments and produce feasibility analysis.
Consultation key stakeholders and/or a risk assessment workshop and develop risk mitigating action plans in agreement with the project Sponsor/Project Owner/Project Manager (PM).
Facilitate a project definition workshop in order to assist the project manager with the project scope and all the required documents.
Accountability: Requirements Collection Activities
Interview the product or business process owners, to determine business requirements.
Perform a “root cause” issues analysis with key stakeholders by conducting interviews or workshop to further evaluate and identify solutions and/or alternatives to meet the business requirements.
Assist the PM to set up and facilitate workshops with relevant stakeholders.
Document the project and business owner requirements to be used in the project definition, design and build.
Refer to internal and external parties to ensure the best solution is considered and identified for the project.
Accountability: Solution Analysis
Ensure the best solution is considered and identified by designing improved business processes and procedures to deliver project goals.
Do feasibility analysis for identified solutions
Validate identified solutions with the project manager and stakeholders.
Co-ordinate all user acceptance testing and document all results.
Education and Experience Required
IT Degree or diploma
At least 1 – 3 years business analysis experience
Knowledge & Skills: (Maximum of 6)
Report Writing skills
Documentation of business requirements and functional specifications
Problem solving and analysis skills
Ability to challenge the status quo and drive beneficial change
Understanding of project management
Writing and Reporting
Presenting and communicating information
