We are seeking an experienced Supervisor Boilermaker to oversee our fabrication and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards while leading a team of skilled boilermakers. Must have 5+ years experience in the STEEL industry.Desired Experience & QualificationGrade 12 with English, Math/Science/Technical Drawings.Completed recognised Boilermaker trade test.Supervisory certificate would be advantageous.Minimum of 5 years experience as a Boilermaker/Steel Industry Fitter/Pipe fitter, of which 2 years should be in a supervisory capacity.Must have Red Seal.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings while adhering to timelines and standards under pressure.The ability to identify problem areas and find solutions to modify faulty fabricated material and report timeously to management.Control and coordinate all allocated site Boiler-making activities.Deploy workforce according to the scope of work and production plan.Demonstrate knowledge of all relevant discipline-specific equipment and provide initiative-taking solutions to problems.Repair, installation, removal, and maintenance of Mechanical and related equipment.Write technical reports, including daily diaries, progress feedback, and variation reports.To ensure all relevant documents comply and are maintained in accordance with Standard Practice.Participate in setting up and maintaining QA/QC system, work processes, and procedures.Monitor and advise on the general safety of Boilermakers including the awareness of health risks.Ensure the control of all mechanical fitters' equipment and protective gear.Coach and mentor learners and artisans.Good planning in advance.Teamwork.RequirementsValid Driver's License.Medical Fitness Certificate.No Criminal Record.Strong understanding of construction and engineering processes and risks.Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and management.Attention to detail and analytical skills for hazards, to comply with the OHS act and the various site requirements.Critical thinking and taking responsibility.Read blueprints and manuals.Installs and assembles boilers.Operates and monitors boilers.Repair boilers when necessary.Performs boiler tests and treatments.Completes boiler logs and checklists.Follows all laws, regulations, and guidelines.Maintains a safe and clean work environment.Loads and unloads equipment and material.Uses hand and power tools and heavy machinery.Follows written and verbal instructions from Snr Managers.Package & RemunerationRemuneration will be based on qualifications, skills, and experience, to be discussed in the interview.
