Duties: Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patronsInteract with customers, take orders and serve drinks and snacksAssess customers needs and preferences and make recommendationsMix and prepare ingredients for cocktailsPlan and present bar menuRestock and replenish bar inventory and suppliesStay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experienceComply with all food and beverage regulations & ensure minimum lossesMaintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areasCheck drinks presentations and temperature to make sure of its qualityEnsure everything in the bar is set-up and ready for service, including the coffee stations and all machinesAssist management in taking bar stock.
Requirements: Grade 12A formal qualification would be an advantagePreferably 3+ years previous experience as a BarmanSound wine knowledgePassionate about the hospitality industryExcellent interpersonal & communication skills, written and verbal (in person and telephonic)Strong customer service orientation with excellent people skillsAbility to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments
