THE JOB AT A GLANCE:Execute the bakery strategy, co-ordinate bakery operations to serve consumers and customers to drive a sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Meet the business P&L targets, understanding of how the Bakery impacts the income statement and balance sheet, and build an exceptional operations team.
Manage human capital to develop capability, retain talent and a develop a high performance culture in your Bakery.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Translate the bakery strategy and objectives into a business plan, working closely with cross-functional partners (Sales & Distribution, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain etc)Drive strategy and execution by directing and engaging with a multi-disciplinary team across functions (Marketing, Customer, Supply Chain, HR and Finance), fostering a high level of cross-functional integration with all resources driving forward the Bakery strategy and prioritiesEnsure that the overall Bakery financial performance meets targetImplement go-to-market priority setting for General Trade (incl.
sales budgets) to meet Bakeries objectives, partnering closely with the Sales function to drive execution across key channels, regions and service offeringsWork with National Sales Managers to drive activity and growth within BakeryIdentify sales / growth opportunities through an understanding of drivers of growthManage sales discounts to ensure balance of growth versus profitabilityEnsure internal controls are adhered to (baskets / balances / returns)Drive supply chain excellence to create fuel for growthEnsure capability improvement through benchmarking and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Responsible for the effective Maintenance and Engineering Management including ensuring all GMR appointments are in place and execution of CAPEXMaintenance and Closing out of corrective actions for internal and external audits (Risk Registers, CSA, KPMG and Other Audits)Ensure all safety and quality standards are adhered to across the various areasIdentify and build meaningful relationships with all internal and external stakeholdersLead a team and set them up for success in the workplace and in the marketplace.Build a high-performance culture, foster teamwork and a winning spirit.ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:CompetenciesRelevant DegreeCommercial / Financial AcumenGood communication skillsManaging and leading peopleLeading cross-functional teamsExperience5-10 years Bakery ExperienceLogistics and Depot ManagementFinancial Accounting Application (Profit & Loss Statements)Sales ManagementProduction managementAbout UsTiger Brands is proudly Africa's largest listed manufacturers of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
