Job Description: Production ManagerWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient operations, quality output, and timely delivery of products.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12Degree/Diploma in Production / Industrial Engineering / Operations or ManagementTrade Test (Millwright) – advantage10+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environmentCommercial trailer experience – very advantageousMicrosoft Dynamics 365 experienceERP Systems (SAP / Syspro or others)5+ years of experience in production management or similar roleStrong understanding of production processes and quality control principlesProven ability to manage and motivate teams effectivelyExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsStrong analytical and organizational skillsProficient in project management tools and production softwareKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles – preferredAbility to work independently and under pressureStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityExperience with budgeting and cost controlAdaptability to changing production demands and challengesStrong leadership and decision-making skillsCommitment to safety and creating a safe working environmentPassion for continuous improvement and process optimizationKey ResponsibilitiesImplement, manage, and support SHEQ initiatives and objectivesManage budgeting and cost control, including new product costing modelsAnalyze budgets and control production costs, identifying and rectifying wasteOversee all activities within the production process, including maintenance and workforce managementOrganize workflow to meet deadlines and implement performance measuresReport regularly on production performance and timelinesHandle logistics, warehousing, and raw material stock managementManage all teams within the production departmentImplement organizational and production changes at operational levelsFocus on increasing revenue and profitability through streamlining production and product improvementsCollaborate with other managers to align objectives and understand requirementsPrepare operational reports from CRM systems for strategic planningBuild and maintain strong customer relationships (ideally)Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Purchasing departments to ensure coordinated CRM initiatives
