Automotive Parts Buyer

Automotive Dealership is seeking to employ a Buyer with sound experience within the automotive industry. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SUZUKIQualifications and Experience RequiredMatric with pure mathematics HG3 years' experience in a Buyer / Purchasing control environment in the Automotive Manufacturing IndustryFinance / Supply Chain knowledgeAdvanced Excel skills, VLook-Ups and Pivot TablesResponsibilities:Manage raw material and competent stockManage supplier performanceDaily follow ups, backorders, and quotes, maintain spreadsheet with ETA dates, stock received and stock on backorder.Negotiate prices and sourcing of new suppliers.Request 3 quotes before placing ordersPlacing orders with suppliersOrder stock for export shipments and keep record on stock levels weeklyCommunicating with supplier should there be any problem with part shortages for shipment.Sort out export shipment queries (e.g. disputes, disagreements)GPIRS orders, new parts (launch parts) samples that need to be shipped to different countries for approval.Updating of daily stock sheets to keep track of the packaging of the shipment.VALID DRIVERS LICENCE & OWN VEHICLE ESSENTIAL
